It was a great day yesterday at Catholic Church of Resurrection at Abayomi Owulade Avenue, Magodo Phase II as the Nollywood superstar Joke Silver pays her last respect for Rachel Oniga as she laid to rest.
The funeral rites for ace Nollywood actress Rachel Oniga have continued as announced by the family as the Service of Songs held yesterday 26th August 2021.
The screen goddess died at the age of 64 around 10pm on Friday, 30th of July in a hospital here in Lagos.
The family cleared that contrary to diverse reports informing that she died from COVID0-19 complications, the actress died from a heart-related issue, an ailment she battled with for a short period of time before her demise.
In another statement, the family announced that Rachel Oniga will be laid to rest today Friday 27th of August with a 3-day funeral.
The funeral began with a tribute night on Saturday 21st August, and a Service of Songs which has taken place yesterday at the Catholic Church of Resurrection on Abayomi Owulade Avenue, Magodo phase 2.
